Girl Scout Cookies are here

First Girl Scout Cookies of the next century of Girl Scouting arrive in Houston
Millions of packages to help girls build leadership skills and change the world

The cookies that have become one of America's most revered icons, won the hearts of millions across the nation and helped change communities across the world are finally here. Four hundred thousand (400,000) cases of Girl Scout cookies will hit the streets of Houston after future entrepreneurs-in-training took orders for nearly one month as part of the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, the country's premier financial literacy program for girls.

On Saturday, February 4, amidst delivery trucks, forklifts and endless rows of cookie cases, volunteers will work their way down a long line of waiting cars as hundreds of Girl Scout troops pick up their cookie orders at Sam Houston Race Park, located at 7575 North Sam Houston Parkway West, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

"This is the first cookie sale of the next century of Girl Scouting and for decades this program has provided girls with the opportunity to learn how to set goals, make decisions, handle money, and interact with members of their local community," said Mary Vitek, chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC). "Each person who purchases cookies helps a girl discover, connect and take action to help change the world around them."

Parents and local volunteers will line up to pick up their boxes of cookies that will be delivered, in the coming days, to customers eagerly awaiting the arrival of their purchase. Those who haven't put in orders still have time to satisfy their cookie craving.

Beginning February 17, girls will be selling cookies at cookie booths located outside of grocery stores and other local retail venues. The Cookie Sale ends March 25. The public can also call 1-888-GS-COOKIE or enter their zip code in our Cookie Booth finder located on our website to find a cookie booth in their area.
