Saddleback Educational Publishing, a high interest, low reading level publisher, announces the release of its newest young adult series, My New Normal, by sixteen-year-old author Sara Michelle. This dystopian romance is an unpredictable roller coaster that pushes two pampered high school students to survive unimaginable apocalyptic events.

Protagonists Cecilia and Ryan are the perfect high school couple, a pretty cheerleader and and one of the cutest boys in school. There's only one problem: The famous quatrains of Nostradamus about the ‘End of Days' turn out to be right - the world as they knew it is destroyed. Cecelia and Ryan face cruel and unpredictable challenges; they face a ‘new normal.'

"Day 7:
I almost wish I hadn't made it. At least then I'd be dead. I don't really know what happens after we die. But I know it would sure beat this situation I've found myself in. Still, I don't think I'll ever fully grasp how lucky we are to be alive - if you can call it luck. I sometimes find myself thinking that it would've been easier to have passed away. I think being dead would be easier than this new life - my new normal."

This series consists of three titles, with events separated by days instead of chapters:

• The Aftermath:describes Cecilia's initial reactions and obstacles with Ryan (Day 7-12)
• The Inside:told from Ryan's perspective as they enter mass chaos to survive (Day 13)
• The Others: Screaming threats trap them and new visitors bring shocking news (Day 14)
